Do Florida Landscapers Have to Be FNGLA Certified?

Florida offers a wide range of delightful landscaping options throughout the year. The warm climate combined with a broad spectrum of plant, tree, flower, and design choices offer an unlimited number of creative options for creative, professional landscapers to pursue.

Certification by FNGLA

The FNGLA is the largest Florida nursery and landscape association. Besides setting standards for environmentally positive landscape development, the organization is an educational and job search resource developed to advance careers.

Importantly, certification demonstrates that the personnel and companies have proven their knowledge and skills through a rigorous examination. Certification in each area is achieved by passing both hands-on and written tests. Many companies and individuals are certified in every category of landscaping, including the Florida Water Star Accreditation Program, a water conservation program for new homes and commercial developments.
